Louisiana Bar Exam’s Law Student Registration Process

Louisiana Bar Exam’s Law Student Registration Process

All prospective applicants for admission to the Louisiana Bar enrolled in law school in this state are required to participate in the Law Student Registration Program (LSR) in the fall of the second year of law school.  At the same time, Louisiana law students must complete the online “NCBE Character Report Application” with the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

Failure of Louisiana law students to complete Law Student Registration on time will result in a $300 fee, and the application will be processed by LASCBA and the NCBE as a First Time Applicant (FTA).

Please note that a supplemental ‘Request for Preparation of a Character Report’ with the NCBE and a Bar Examination Application is required to sit for the bar examination.
